USPHL Reign’s Rookie of the Year #77 Zach Stangness Returns to the Inland Empire.

by Jr Reign

Zach Stangness was crucial to the Ontario Jr. Reign's success last season. Voted as the best player in the Reign's inaugural junior hockey season earning Rookie of the Year honors.

“When I played for the Reign the previous season, I fell in love with Southern California,” said Zach Stangness. "It seemed like a no-brainer for me to return this season and to assist in leading this club to a deeper playoff run.”

The 6'1, 190-pound product of Strathmore, Alberta played in 37 games last season collecting 8 goals, and 20 assists along with 85 minutes in the sin bin.

Head Coach and General Manager Jeremy Blumes commented

"Our team has three rules, 1. The team comes first, 2. Get better every day, and 3. Have fun. Stag-O excels in all three.  He approaches games and practices with whatever it takes for the team mentality and plays through pain. As far as rule 2 goes he is always competing to get better, pushing his teammates to get better, and rule 3 and Stago, well they go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly. 77 is skilled, big, mobile, fearless and rattlesnake mean. This is a significant signing for our club entering year 2."

Friday, September 23rd marks the Home Opener for your Ontario Jr. Reign playing out of Ontario Center Ice Arena.
