USPHL Jr Reign announce Braden Bystrom as Southern Alberta Scout

by Jen Gehringer

From Benalto, Alberta, Braden Bystrom played the majority of his minor hockey career in Sylvan Lake. While there he played four years of junior hockey with BlackFalds, Wetaskiwin, and Rocky Mountain House.

Since then, Braden has been coaching for the past five years with the West Central Tigers Association and is currently an assistant coach with the Calgary Northstars Association. When not on the bench, Braden is attending Mount Royal University where he is currently taking Sport and Recreation Management.

"I've gotten to know Braden the past few years and he is a guy that can identify skill and talent but also the critical intangibles in terms of character and commitment that will translate to impact junior-aged players at our level,” said Head Coach Jeremy Blumes. “Our organization is adding a tremendous asset as Braden will help find and acquire future Reign players.”

The Ontario Jr Reign’s next home game is on Saturday, December 4th at Ontario Center Ice Arena. The puck drops at 7:45 PM, tickets can be purchased online at https://www.ontariojrreign.com/admission.
