Unsung Hero Award: Jonathon Anderson

by Jr Reign

The Unsung Hero award is given to the player who demonstrates dedication and selflessness both on and off the ice.

Jonathon Anderson is one of the most popular players among his teammates, “Andy '' balanced family commitments, hockey, and working every morning, starting his shift at 4 in the morning before coming to the Reign practices for 9:30. Anderson demonstrated versatility playing both forward and defense, wherever the team needed him.

Head Coach and General Manager Jeremy Blumes said “Andy is a second-year player that understands our culture, that our team comes first and that mindset has helped play a huge role in our success over the past two seasons where we have recorded a 71-19-3 record during that time, along with a Pacific division title. Andy works hard and has all the respect in the world from the staff and his teammates. We will miss his presence in that locker room next season.”
