ONTARIO JR REIGN NCDC – SCOUT - Intern Position

Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate prospective players through live viewings, video analysis, and database tracking
• Build and maintain a strong network for player identification and recruitment
• Scout upcoming opponents and provide detailed reports to the coaching staff
• Assist in assembling recruiting lists and tracking player development
• Collaborate with hockey operations staff to align scouting evaluations with team needs
• Maintain and update the recruiting database of prospective players

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of ice hockey systems, player evaluation, and development pathways
• Experience with scouting platforms (e.g., Instat) and Excel or similar tools
• Ability to analyze player performance through video and data
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Understanding of the importance of recruiting to program success
