Ontario Jr. Reign Elevated to NCDC Following Five Seasons of Proven Success
ONTARIO, Calif. –
The Ontario Jr Reign has officially been elevated to the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC), marking a significant milestone for the organization and its long-term development model.
Since their inaugural season in 2021, the Reign have established themselves as one of the most consistent and respected programs in the USPHL. Built under tight timelines as an expansion team, the organization quickly set a standard by qualifying for the playoffs in its first season — a benchmark it has maintained every year since.
Over five seasons, the OJR have developed a reputation defined by compete, structure, accountability, and progression. The program has compiled an outstanding record, advanced to three consecutive Pacific Division Finals, captured division championships, represented the Pacific Division at Nationals, and consistently ranked among the top teams in an 81-team league.
Beyond team success, the organization’s impact is reflected in player advancement. More than 40 players have moved on to junior, collegiate, and professional opportunities — a direct result of a development model focused on long-term growth, fit, and progression.
“The elevation to the NCDC is a reflection of the work that has gone into building this program the right way,” said Head Coach and General Manager Jeremy Blumes. “Our focus has always been on development, accountability, and preparing players for what’s next — both in hockey and beyond.”
Jeremy Blumes will continue in his role as Head Coach and General Manager of the Ontario Jr. Reign while also serving as President of Hockey Operations, overseeing the alignment of the organization’s full development pathway. He is supported by a strong and experienced staff across all levels, ensuring consistency in coaching, standards, and player development from prep through junior hockey.
This transition also strengthens a fully aligned development pathway within the organization:
St. John Bosco Prep Hockey (Prep) → San Diego Sabers (Premier) → Ontario Jr Reign (NCDC)
This integrated model provides players with a clear and connected route from prep hockey through junior hockey at the Tier II level — all within one system, one standard, and one development philosophy.
This development ladder is one of the only fully integrated models of its kind in California, creating real opportunity for players to develop, progress, and advance within a single, aligned system.
At the foundation of this pathway is St. John Bosco Prep Hockey, where student-athletes benefit from a structured academic and athletic environment designed to support long-term growth. The San Diego Sabers serve as the next step, emphasizing development, accountability, and progression within a competitive, and unique coastal junior setting. The Ontario Jr. Reign now anchors the pathway at the NCDC level, providing exposure and advancement opportunities at a higher tier of junior hockey, leading to college and professional opportunities.
Player Opportunities
This pathway is actively identifying players for the 2026–27 season.
Players interested in being evaluated within our development pathway are encouraged to attend upcoming identification and development camps:

With the move to the NCDC, the Ontario Jr. Reign will continue to build on a foundation centered on structure, accountability, and daily development — now at a higher level of competition.
About the NCDC
The National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) is a Tier II division of the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), designed to provide a direct pathway to collegiate hockey.
The league prioritizes player advancement, exposure, and development, with a strong track record of moving players on to NCAA and ACHA collegiate programs, as well as professional opportunities.
