OBJECTIVE

Under the guidance of the Head Coach perform Assistant Coach duties for the Ontario Jr Reign at the Junior A level.

The ideal candidate is a former student-athlete or coach who is motivated and has knowledge/experience of junior hockey. You can successfully develop and manage a diverse team and provide positive motivation and create an environment rich with development and growth for each member of the team. You will collaborate well with our Head Coach and front office staff to provide an exceptional experience for athletes at the Junior A level.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Strong hockey background in playing, coaching, evaluating

• Strong interest and commitment to youth athlete development

• Ability to work with fellow coaching personnel

• Ability to communicate on and off-ice requirements to players and parents

• Available to meet time requirements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Assist with player evaluation and the player selection process

• Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting practices

• Assist with the operation of the team during the games

• Assist with strength training

• Assist with scouting and evaluation of opponents

• Driving team bus to practices, games, and events

• Player house manager

TIME COMMITMENT 

• Weekday Practices at 7:45 AM, Ontario Center Ice Arena

• Games on the weekend
