Local Talent Returns Home: OJR Sign Tristen Friedman

by Callum Kemlo

The Ontario Jr Reign are pleased to announce the signing of forward Tristen Friedman for the 2023-2024 season. A California native, the 19 year old Tristen was born in nearby Fontana making him the second Fontana born player to sign with the Jr Reign along with Edward Pukhalsky. Tristen joins the Jr Reign after playing last season with the Provo Predators, a fellow USPHL team. Prior to playing with the Preds, Tristen spent 3 years with the Los Angeles Jr. Kings along with a year of prep hockey with Wyoming Seminary Prep.

Weighing in at 5’9” and 154 pounds, Tristen had this to say about joining the Jr Reign, “I am very excited starting a new season with a new team, and am hoping that I can be an asset to take the team this far! I consider myself to be a fast, skilled, offensive playmaker that also can play the 200 foot game and will settle for nothing less than a championship this season.”

Head Coach and GM Blumes had this to say about Tristen joining the team, “Extremely skilled with tremendous vision, we believe playing at home with a great support system will translate into a very productive season for this young man.”

Welcome to the Ontario Jr. Reign Tristen and the entire Friedman family!
