Larocque-Wolfe’s Excellent October Earns Him POTM

by Sebastian Abdon Ibarra

Kaedin Larocque-Wolfe was one of three forwards named to the USPHL Premier Pacific Division Players Of The Month for his performance during the month of October. Being the leading goal scorer and points leader, while also leading your team on a seven game winning streak certainly made it an easy decision for the voters.

In seven games, Larocque-Wolfe finished with 11 goals, five assists, and helped lead the Jr Reign to a 5-2 record in October. His best performance during this stretch was a five point performance on Oct. 7 against the Long Beach Shredders at Ontario Center Ice Arena, in which he recorded his second hat trick of the season and two assists.

Beyond the impressive individual performance and stats, the win was much more significant than it seems on the surface. Not only was it an impressive three goal comeback that came on the heels of two difficult losses, but it was the catalyst of the five game winning streak that has since extended to seven at the time of writing. Ontario entered that game on Oct. 7 at 4-4-0, and now on Nov. 6 are sitting pretty at 11-4-0. Needless to say, it was the turning point of this Jr Reign squad’s season and they have been firing on all cylinders ever since.

Don’t miss out on your chance to watch the reigning Pacific Division player of the month when the Jr Reign return to Ontario Center Ice Arena Friday Nov. 24 at 3:55 p.m. where they will welcome the Fresno Monsters to town.
