Junah Croteau from Trois-Rivières signs with Ontario Jr Reign
The Ontario Jr Reign announced Sunday, September 5, that 20-year-old Junah Croteau has signed for the upcoming 2021-22' season.
The 5'10" center played the last two seasons with the Trois-Rivières Draveurs in the LHMJAA where he had 12 goals and 11 assists before the COVID-19 lockdown. During his Midget BB season in 2019-2020, he racked up 35 goals and 67 assists with Sieurs Trois-Rivières before locking up the Provincial Championship.
“Junah is an offensive catalyst. His work ethic, elite vision, and skill set will make his teammates around him better," said Head Coach Jeremy Blumes. "Junah and his family recognize the unique opportunity that presents itself in the Ontario Jr Reign's inaugural season within the USPHL, a league with a tremendous track record for player development. It's a great opportunity as he pursues his goal of playing college hockey the following season.”
The Ontario Jr Reign's first game of the 2021-22' season is on September 25 in Carlsbad, CA at Icetown Carlsbad against the San Diego Sabers.
The Ontario Jr Reign Main Camp will be held at Ontario Center Ice Arena in Ontario, CA from Monday, Sept. 13 through Sunday, Sept. 19. Multiple participants from Main Camp will make the Jr Reign roster and will be given the opportunity to compete in the USPHL.
