The Ontario Jr Reign come into this weekend with two more games against the Long Beach Shredders to wrap up the three game series. Ontario will have some momentum on their side following their 6-3 comeback win against the Shredders on Oct. 7.

The Jr Reign have not played a game since that Oct. 7 contest so they should be rested and ready for action this weekend. The Shredders come into this weekend losing two out of three on the road to the Las Vegas Thunderbirds.

Long Beach has given up a little over six goals per game this season, including 16 goals in two games against the Jr Reign. Look for Ontario to score quickly and often in this weekend matchup.

Ontario has also been getting improved play from their defense and goalies in the past two games. Jr Reign opponents have scored only four goals the past two contests. Another solid defensive showing will be a good sign of their continued development.

Kaedin Larocque-Wolfe was a man on a mission last time out against the Shredders, scoring his second hat trick of the season. His 13 goals scored this season is good for 5th best in the entire USPHL.

Cooper Kantola is another name to watch out for this weekend. He was instrumental in Ontario’s comeback win last time out. Kantola dished out a season high four assists, which gave his teammates great opportunities to score.

Josh Henson has had himself a great two game stretch in the net. In his past 99 minutes on the ice, he has only allowed two goals and has gone 35/37 on save opportunities.

The Jr Reign face off against the Shredders on the road tomorrow at 7:00 pm at Lakewood Ice. Don’t forget - It’s Pucks and Paws on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 3:55 pm, when the Ontario Jr Reign look to wipe out the Long Beach Shredders at Ontario Center Ice Arena.
