The Ontario Jr Reign is pleased to announce the addition of native Calgarian power forward Aidan Turner.
Turner is a product of the North West Calgary Athletic Association, having played at the U18 AAA and U15 AAA levels with highly regarded coaches such as Pier-Alexandre Poulin, Phill Wood, and Mike Glawson over the course of his career in that association. Last season Turner played with the Victoria Cougars in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League where he collected 10 goals and 18 assists in 34 games of his rookie year in Junior.
“I signed here with the Ontario Junior Reign because I believe that this program is in great hands,” said Aidan Turner. “Coach Blumes is a great coach who truly believes in me as a player who can develop and succeed in the USPHL. This program had a great first year and I believe that the team that Jeremy has built for this year looks to be even stronger. I’m excited to spend the next year playing in Ontario for this program and to live in Southern California for the 2022-2023 season.”
Coach Blumes remarked “Lots of players like to slide to the back door for a tap in, Turner understands the value of going to the hard areas and traffic in front of the net. Along with that penchant for scoring greasy goals he sees the ice well and distributes. We consider this signing another big piece of the puzzle.”
The Ontario Jr Reign would like to welcome Aidan and the Turner family to Ontario.
