Alumni Spotlight: Antonio Tarantino
The Ontario Jr. Reign's primary objective is player development on and off the ice.
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Antonio Tarantino started his youth hockey career in the Bay Area with the San Jose Sharks youth teams.
Tarantino joined the Jr. Reign in the latter half of the season from the Ogden Mustangs in Utah were he had a 1.52 GAA with 13 appearances.
In his short stint with Ontario, Tarantino was a perfect 1-0 with an important 3-2 win over the Lake Tahoe Lakers. He also went on to start in a playoff game later in the season.
“While I was only there for a short amount of time, during that time, I had a lot of fun,” Tarantino said. “Reflecting back, the organization is very well run and prepares guys for the next level just based on how the coaching staff approaches player development and games. It was also nice to be a good person to the community.”
Tarantino is currently in his second year at UMass-Boston as a finance major, where he is continuing his play in NCAA III.
The Ontario Jr. Reign congratulates Antonio on his achievements on and off the ice. We will continue to provide our players the foundation to pursue their passions as we uphold our core values of hockey, education, and life skills.
