Agent 007, Bodnar, Jace Bodnar Joins OJR for 2023-2024 Season

The Ontario Jr Reign are pleased to announce the signing of forward Jace Bodnar for the 2023-2024 season. Bodnar, a native of East St. Paul, Manitoba, spent last season with fellow USPHL team the Rock Springs Prospectors. Over the course of 44 games, Jace scored 7 goals and 14 assists for a total of  21 points to go along with 28 penalty minutes. 


When asked to describe his playing style for Jr Reign fans, “I’m a player who likes to play with speed and who likes to play at both ends of the ice.” Jace also brings an element of size to the Jr Reign, standing at a significant 6’3” and tipping the scales at 194 pounds. 


When asked about singing with the Jr Reign, Jace had this to say, “I’m very excited to finish off my junior career with the Ontario Jr. Reign and get the opportunity to play for a great organization.” Jace continued to mention his goals for this season, stating “I hope to develop as much as possible and get the chance to play hockey at the collegiate level. Helping lead the Jr Reign to a championship is the ultimate goal!”


Coach and GM Blumes had this to say about Jace joining the team, “Jace is a large human that plays fast and heavy, he protects the puck well and has a heavy shot, I think there are a lot of tools there. We are looking forward to seeing Jace take the next step in his development .”
