2022 USPHL Winter Showcase Opens Friday In Marlborough, Mass.

by Jen Gehringer

The 2022 USPHL Winter Showcase is upcoming, beginning just four days from today, running Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, to Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at the New England Sports Center (121 Donald Lynch Blvd.) in Marlborough, Mass., with games running on seven rinks at the facility throughout the weekend.

The USPHL Winter Showcase will play host to games in the Tier II National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) and the league's two Tier III Divisions, the USPHL Premier and USPHL Elite.

Under one roof at the New England Sports Center, college and pro scouts and fans will be able to see players skating with teams from as far away as Minnesota, California, and Florida, while also seeing local talent from New England and the Mid-Atlantic region.

Schedules are available on the USPHL.com website and linked here as well:

For those who unfortunately cannot attend, every Winter Showcase game will be broadcast on HockeyTV with play-by-play and live scoring.

The Dan K Show will be on-site from start to finish of the league's jewel event, with their LIVE on-site studio show airing for free on YouTube each day. Coverage throughout the event will include player/coach interviews, daily SportsCenter-style recaps to conclude each day, and so much more. The coverage will culminate with the biggest reveal of them all, as throughout the weekend, Dan K and Lucas Jones will announce their picks for the USPHL Premier and Elite first-half All-Stars, helping put a spotlight on some of the best performances from around #USPHLNation.

In addition, USPHL Media Director Joshua Boyd will be the "roving reporter" at ice level, getting ESPN-style post-game interviews from a majority of games, as well as still photographs from throughout the event and video highlights from HockeyTV from each game will also be available on Twitter

The USPHL saw more than 400 college commitments at all levels even during the tumultuous 2020-21 season. While many other leagues dealt with shutdowns, the USPHL put together full regular seasons at all junior levels and held its league championships as scheduled in March 2021.

We hope to see you this weekend at the 2022 USPHL Winter Showcase
