USPHL Reign acquires defensemen Michael Deforel

by Jen Gehringer

The Ontario Jr Reign has acquired Switzerland Native Michael Deforel from the Richmond Generals. Deforel is a 2002 born 6’8, 230-pound right-shot Defensemen.

This season marks Michael’s first year in the USPHL. Before the Generals, he previously played for the Stanstead College Varsity in the CAHS.

Coach Blumes comments "Michael fills a need on our blueline. Obviously, the first thing that stands out is his exceptional size, but along with those attributes his mobility and on-ice awareness will provide valuable assets for us in all three zones as we enter the second half."

“Our program's mandate is to help players reach the next level and I believe that with the right approach from Michael combined with all our program has to offer, Michael will be a sought-after commodity at the college and eventually the professionals levels in the future."

Welcome to Ontario, CA Michael!

The Ontario Jr Reign’s next home game is on Friday, January 14th at Toyota Arena.
