Ontario Jr Reign add analyst Samuel Laplante to staff

Samuel Laplante has been named as the Ontario Jr Reign's new video analyst.

“Sam has a keen eye for attention to detail within the game. He is helping the club in a number of ways, reviewing videos, putting together highlight packages for our players to help promote them to higher levels, pre-scouting the opposition, among a number of other items that will give our club a competitive advantage," said Head Coach Jeremy Blumes. "While working remotely Sam is making big contributions to the club here in Ontario, California.”

Sam previously played in the NCJHL at the Junior C level before graduating from the University of Ottawa. In 2021, Sam earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with a concentration in Sports Management. 

Before graduating, Sam completed a university internship with Francis Wathier's hockey academy and with the Mont-Bleu team of the LHPS in Quebec.

Currently, Sam is pursuing his master's degree at HEC Montreal in sport management.
