Kash "Money" Henkelman boards the Reign Train

by Callum Kemlo

The Ontario Jr Reign are pleased to announce the signing of center Kash Henkelman following his extremely successful season with the Swan Valley Tigers of the Westman High School Hockey League. Kash, a native of Swan River Manitoba, led the Tigers in points during his senior year, scoring 41 goals and adding 51 assists for a total of 92 points in only 37 games. Prior to his time with the Tigers, Kash spent the 2019-2020 season playing with the Parkland Rangers U15 triple A club.

The 6’0” 190 pound Kash describes himself as “a hard-worker who excels at creating scoring chances. I'm all in for the team and love it when there's an opportunity to make a big hit or block a shot. I thrive in clutch situations and have a history of scoring big goals.” When asked for his goals for this season, he continued to say “I want to have an impact on the team's success this year and to be a positive part of the Ontario community. I want to work hard on the ice and in the gym to improve my skills as a hockey player.”

When asked about the move from Manitoba to Ontario, Kash said “I was thrilled for the opportunity to sign with a top team in the league. Coming from a small farm town in Manitoba, Canada, I'm looking forward to living in a large urban area. I'm sure I'll miss nearly freezing off my toes everytime I skate at the outdoor rink, but I'm nonetheless excited to experience Southern California.”

Coach and GM Blumes “I had the pleasure of spending time with Kash before our camp began and he is the exact kind of person we are looking to add to this program, humble, honest, hard working. I believe all those intangibles are going to translate into a big season for the money man."

Welcome to the Ontario Jr. Reign Kash and the entire Henkelman family!
